Hypnobirthing, also known as mindfulness for birth, is a method used during pregnancy, labour and birth to help release fears and instil a positive mindset around childbirth.
Hypnobirthing promotes feelings of calm and control using techniques such as breathing, visualisations, self hypnosis and mindfulness.
Hypnobirthing or mindfulness for birth is about connecting with the moment and noticing sensations and allowing them without trying to change them. It is a tool that can be used for grounding in an overwhelming situation and to re-gain control.
Positive Birth Affirmations
The language used around us can have a significant impact on us. For this reason it is important to surround yourself with positive language to help impact your mindset around your labour and birth experience.
Affirmation cards are a great way of changing your mindset. These can be used in a simple way by putting them up around your home and using them daily by practicing them and repeating regularly.
